Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our rapidly improving academic results, with our 2024 results showing an impressive 22% year-on-year increase in children reaching the Age Expected Standard, including 90% of our students now achieving the National Standard in Reading.

But success at Prestwood Junior School is about more than just numbers. We are passionate about delivering an innovative and exciting curriculum, designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in every child.

Our unique campus-style setting provides a spacious, open learning environment where each classroom is its own individual block. With two large playgrounds and a vast field, our students have plenty of space to learn, play, and grow. Success at Prestwood Junior School

Rapidly improving academic outcomes for pupils at the end of Year 6 is not the only success for our pupils.

For the second year in a row, Prestwood Junior School were the top performing primary school in the Maths in Motion competition and we had 4 students in the top ten – amongst pupils from Secondary schools. Well done to the students involved. This is an amazing achievement, as always the children were supported by their fantastic and dedicated teachers. Maths in Motion is an online competition where children compete to build and race cars around a number of world circuits. We are enormously proud of their achievements.

House System

Every child at Prestwood Infant and Junior School is in one of our 4 Houses, named after some of the highest peaks here in the Chilterns. Whether you join as a 4 year old in Reception, or for your final weeks in Year 6, all children will remain in the same House throughout theor time with us, taking part in events, competitions and celbrations. Our Houses are:

Class Names

At Prestwood Junior School, all the classes are named after animals from the WWF endangered list. Throughout the year, each class raises money to sponsor their animal counterpart, ensuring children understand how we can work together to have a positive impact on our world. This year, the animals we are sponsoring are:

Wrap-Around Care

Our dedicated staff team provide Breakfast Club from 7:30am. After School Club runs until 6pm.
