The INTENT of our history curriculum is to Ignite the SPARK and ensure all children gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world.
It is our aim in history that all children:
- Feel SUPPORTED in their historical journey to understand the complexity of people’s lives and the process of change.
- Have PRIDE in their own identity.
- ACHIEVE the ability to ask perceptive questions and develop perspective and judgement.
- RESPECT the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups.
- Show KINDNESS towards all peoples through piquing pupil’s curiosity to know more about the past.
